Human Frontier Science Program Fellowship will provide all of the following but amount of allowances will depend on the country host

Human Frontier Science Program Fellowship Eligible Criteria

To be eligible for the Postdoctoral Career Program, a candidate must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Fellowship is allowed for all countries of the world
  • Applicants must apply to work in a country that are different from where they did the PhD work or first doctoral studies. For those institutions that are not nationally recognized, i.e., international or extraterritorial institutions such as EMBL, ICPT or ICGEB, the country in which the laboratory is located will be treated as the host country.
  • Research Doctorate compared to a Ph.D. with equivalent experience in basic research should be provided at the start of the fellowship but not required at the time of submission.
  • Applicants must have at least one supervising author, must hold full length research paper -that are approved for publication, in a journal or published - in an international peer-reviewed journal or published on a primary server.
  • All the papers that are required must be written in English only. Re-examine the articles and the patent will not be considered.
  •  Cannot be downloaded after request. In preparing the application process the copy of lead author publications must be uploaded. they cannot be uploaded after the applicant has been submitted.

How to Apply for Human Frontier Science Program Fellowship

Please follow the instructions below to apply for a postdoctoral degree:

1.Application Letter (to be submitted on May 19, 2022)

Applicants submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by clicking here should include the following information:

  • The title of the request
  • Keyword of the research plan
  • Will contain Summary of the research plan
  • must contain personnel information
  • Must contain Curriculum Vitae
  • Must contain position and title of the PhD
  • Must contain some information on proposed host institution and host supervisor
  • Publication list (pre-review, and revision)

2.The letter of intent will be reviewed and the results submitted as soon as possible.

3.Complete application (submission no later than September 29, 2022)

Note: You will contact the HFSP if you are invited to make progress in the second phase.

The complete application must include the following:

  • Summary of previous works must be contained 
  • Should contained with the description of the proposed project (as well as a brief summary of the LOI)
  • Should be contained with detailed project research plan
  • Information on why and how the project proposal is planned
  • Explain why he chose host lab
  • The information on how candidates will benefit from being in the host lab (e.g., special infrastructure, consultation)
  • Application must be contained with a publication updated list
  • Application should be contained with two recommendation letters of the referees
  • A recommendation letter from the host supervisor 
  • Application must be contained with file in pdf format of lead author publications
