McDonald's Fellowship application is now Open. this is the opportunities for all international students. In this post we will explain in more detail about the scholarship program, its benefits and step-by-step application procedure.

McDonald's Scholarship 2022-2023 is a fully funded scholarship for all international students who want to continue their study in master's degree program and PhDs program. The fellowship consists of a two-year grant, which are about 30,000 GBP per year, to cover travel and health, with an additional £ 2,000 GBP per year in the host institution.

McDonald's fellowship enables career multiple sclerosis researchers from low to middle countries to work in a research institution outside of their own country. Following the award, we anticipate that applicants will be able to use the newly developed expertise and networks continue to conduct MS research and treat patient care in poor and low-income countries.

ECTRIMIS as our partnership is awarding one fellowship award that is known as MSIF-ECTRIMS McDonald Fellowship. so, for the other fellowship is provided in partnership with MSIF's member that are known as the MSIF-ARSEP McDonald Fellowship.

McDonald Fellowship 2022 Benefits

McDonald's Fellowship with their partners will provide the following beneficiaries:
  • Two years of award with amount around euros30,000 GBP per year
  • Will provide travel expenses
  • Will provide living expenses
  • And any additional expenses for amount of Euros2,000 GBP per year

Eligibility Criteria for McDonald Fellowship 2022 

To be eligible for a McDonald Fellowship, a candidate must meet all of the following requirements:

  • The required language for this fellowship is English
  • All international students from low-or middle-income countries are allowed to apply for McDonald Fellowship.
  • Candidates must be a student at Master's or PhD.
  • The candidate is also eligible if he or she is working from multiple sclerosis in another country in the low-or middle-income country.
  • Applicants have to select the host institute before applying it may be either their home country institute or neighboring country if the traveling across there is allowed.
  • Applicants must work or studying in a low or middle-income country that are all countries with a low, lower middle or upper middle income as defined by the World Bank at the time of election.
  • Working or studying in another country for a project that started six months before the election.
  • Studying in another country for a project sponsored by MS International federation grant.
  • Candidates must focus their research in an area that are relevant to multiple sclerosis.
Note: Make sure you meet all of the required criteria in order to be qualified for this scholarship.

How to apply for a McDonald's Fellowship 2022

If you are interested, please follow all the steps below to apply for a McDonald's Fellowship:

  1. Fill out all sections of the application form online.
  2. Your host must provide a supporting statement at the end of your application. 
  3. Add the names and contact details of the 3 referees, including the applicant's current employer.
  4. Ask referees to submit reference letters to research{at}msif{dot}org before the deadline.
